LittleBites AI ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what controls you have. The App is designed for parents managing their child's nutrition. We do not collect information directly from children.

Child profile data is private to your account. It is never shown on public profiles, feeds, follower lists, or to anyone else who uses the App.
When you log meals against a child profile, we store: meal type, date and time, optional recipe link or food name, optional portion label, optional reaction, and optional notes.
Meal logs are private to your account. They never appear on public profiles, feeds, or other users' surfaces.
Each recipe you save in LittleBites is private by default. You can choose to publish a recipe to your public profile; only published recipes are visible to others, and only when your profile is set to public. Curated recipes that LittleBites provides are public to all users.
Recipe collections you create are private to you in this version of the App. A future update may let you share collections; if that ships you'll be asked to opt in explicitly per collection.
If you make your profile public, the following fields are visible to anyone in the App: username, display name, avatar, bio, your published recipes, follower and following counts. Email, baby's age, child profiles, meal logs, allergen tracker entries, and unpublished recipes are not shown on public profiles regardless of visibility setting.
Follow relationships are visible to both parties (you can see who you follow and who follows you). Other users may see your public profile in your followers' or following lists if your profile is public.
The allergen tracker stores introduction status and any notes you add for the Big 9 allergens. This data is private to your account and is stored locally on your device. The tracker is informational — it is not medical advice. If your child has a severe reaction, seek urgent medical help immediately.
When you import a recipe from a TikTok or Instagram link, or upload a saved video for the beta extraction feature, we process the link, fetched metadata, preview images, and any frames you upload. Frames you upload are sent to our backend and to Anthropic's Claude API for analysis, then discarded after the analysis returns. We do not retain uploaded frames after processing.
We automatically collect device type, operating system version, app version, and basic error/crash logs. We use these only to diagnose problems and improve reliability.
LittleBites AI uses Claude (provided by Anthropic) to analyse recipe links, captions, preview images, and uploaded frames. The data we send to Anthropic is the minimum needed for extraction and is processed in transit only — we do not provide them with your account email, your child profiles, or your meal logs. By using the App you consent to this AI analysis.
AI extraction can be wrong. Always check ingredients, allergens, texture and cooking safety before serving. The App's hints, recipe suggestions and dashboard reminders are general parenting prompts; they are not medical or nutritional advice.
We store data on Supabase (a secure cloud database) with HTTPS in transit and encryption at rest. We use industry-standard security practices but no online service can be 100% secure. Treat strong passwords seriously and report any suspected account compromise to us.
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We do not use your private data for advertising or marketing without your permission.

The App is intended for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. Parents are responsible for the accuracy of any child information they choose to add. Child profile data is treated as the parent's personal information and is never made public by the App.

If you cannot access the App for any reason but wish to delete your account, email us at privacy@littlebites.app and we will action the deletion within 30 days.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account from inside the App, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where legally required to retain it (for example, tax or fraud-prevention records).
LittleBites is currently free during early access — no payment information is collected. If we introduce paid features in the future you'll be asked to opt in explicitly through the App Store's standard purchase flow, and we will update this policy before that happens.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
